Terms of Use

Umah - Original Muslim App for Prayers and Qibla (the "Licensed Application") is licensed, not sold, to You for use only under the terms of this license. The licensor, Ahmed Alawy ("Application Provider"), reserves all rights not expressly granted to You.

a. Scope of License

This license granted to You by the Application Provider is limited to a non-transferable license to use the Licensed Application on Apple-branded products that You own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the App Store terms that apply to You.

You may not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, modify, or create derivative works of the Licensed Application, any updates, or any part of it, except only to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by applicable law or by licensing terms governing any open-source component included with the software.

b. Prayer, Qiblah and Mosque Information

Umah provides prayer times, Qiblah direction, reminders, Azkar, mosque-related features and related Muslim daily-practice tools for informational and personal-use purposes.

Prayer times, Qiblah direction, travel-related prayer rules, mosque search results, mosque arrival reminders, congregation-time information, CarPlay displays, widgets, Live Activities, Siri responses, Watch information and notifications can depend on settings, location, device sensors, Apple services, map data, time zone data, calculation methods, network availability and operating-system behavior.

You remain responsible for selecting settings appropriate to Your location and practice, checking local mosque announcements when needed, and using religious judgment or qualified guidance where appropriate. Umah does not guarantee that every calculated time, reminder, direction, map result or notification will be available, exact, timely or appropriate for every circumstance.

c. Consent to Use of Data

Umah is designed around local app operation. The Licensed Application may store and use technical and app data on Your device to provide features such as prayer settings, saved locations, performed-prayer state, reminders, Azkar preferences, widgets, Live Activities, Siri/App Intents, Watch sharing and CarPlay displays.

If You contact WebbieFourth for support, the Application Provider may use the information You provide to respond to Your request. The Application Provider may use technical information in a form that does not personally identify You to maintain, improve or support the Licensed Application.

The Licensed Application does not require a WebbieFourth account to use its core prayer and Qiblah features. Privacy details are described in the Umah Privacy Policy.

d. Location, Notifications and Apple Services

Some features require device permissions or Apple platform services. You control location permission, notifications, Siri/App Intents, widgets, Live Activities, Watch, CarPlay and related system features through the app and Apple system settings where available.

Apple services, map data, notification delivery, vehicle systems, paired devices, App Store distribution and operating-system behavior are outside the Application Provider's direct control and may be governed by Apple's terms and privacy practices.

e. Third-Party Materials and Open Source

The Licensed Application may incorporate open-source components, public-domain or royalty-free assets, Apple frameworks and third-party materials. Those materials remain subject to their own notices and license terms. Open-source acknowledgements supplied with the app are part of the documentation for those materials.

f. User Conduct

You agree to use the Licensed Application only as permitted by applicable law and this license. You may not use the Licensed Application to infringe intellectual-property rights, interfere with services, misrepresent data, bypass system restrictions, or attempt unauthorized access to any device, system or service.

g. Termination

This license is effective until terminated by You or the Application Provider. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice if You fail to comply with any term of this license. Upon termination, You shall cease all use of the Licensed Application and destroy all copies of the Licensed Application in Your possession or control.

h. NO WARRANTY

YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT USE OF THE LICENSED APPLICATION IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE LICENSED APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. APPLICATION PROVIDER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

i. Limitation of Liability

TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL APPLICATION PROVIDER BE LIABLE FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, DEVICE INTERRUPTION, MISSED NOTIFICATIONS, INACCURATE LOCATION OR TIME INFORMATION, OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE LICENSED APPLICATION. In no event shall Application Provider's total liability to You for all damages exceed the amount of five dollars ($5.00), except where applicable law requires otherwise.

j. Export Control

You may not use or otherwise export or re-export the Licensed Application except as authorized by United States law and the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Licensed Application was obtained.

k. Commercial Items

The Licensed Application and related documentation are "Commercial Items," as that term is defined at 48 C.F.R. §2.101. Unpublished-rights reserved under the copyright laws of the United States.

l. Governing Law

The laws of the United States of America, excluding its conflicts of law rules, govern this license and Your use of the Licensed Application. Your use may also be subject to other local, state, national or international laws.
